The science of epigenetics shows how the environment controls health. Since diet is one of the major contributors to anyone’s environment, it shows that your diet controls your health. It does so in everyone. Food is needed to fuel our aliveness. But the food has to be nourishing, not just in terms of its quality, but also in terms of its suitability according to the species.
For instance, cats as carnivores thrive on a diet of meat and bones, not the plant based ‘food’ that is contained in commercial cat food. Humans, a near if not complete herbivore, thrive on plant based food, not the meat that so many consume. Or the processed or fast food so common today.
We’ve got things the wrong way round. Cats need the meat, humans need the plant food.
Medicine Doesn’t Have The Answers
Adding to the insult, the medical system focuses totally on drugs as the solution. They know nothing about nutrition. Big pharma advertising has lulled the public into believing they have all the answers. Limitless money and false promises have lead to the poorest health and the largest medical expenditure.
Iatrogenesis, death by prescription drugs, is the third leading cause of death in western countries. And there is little wonder when you consider their lack of understanding of nutrition (or any other cause) and their total dependence on drugs (why aren’t they looking out for their patients rather than the drug companies?). As well as their obsession with focusing on single markers rather than the whole.
Understanding Human Nutrition
T Colin Campbell PhD, co-author of The China Study, spent 50 years researching the effect of nutrition on health. He started out convinced that a high animal protein diet was the answer to world health. As growing evidence showed him this lead to the poorest health, he had to do an about turn in his academic career, not something to take lightly.
- Animal protein gives us 15% protein, whereas a varied plant based diet gives us 11%, which is more optimal to good health.
- Animal protein increases the risk of chronic and autoimmune disease including cancer, muscular sclerosis, heart issues, kidney stones, rheumatoid arthritis, obesity, respiratory issues, macular degeneration, migraines, lupus, cognitive dysfunction including dementia, depression, skin eruptions, erectile dysfunction and more.
Animal protein probably contains the highest amount of toxins in any food. Not only are the pastures (or more likely the fodder) treated with chemicals to control weeds and pests, and to fertilise, farm animals themselves are fed a daily toxic drug load of synthetic hormones and antibiotics to increase yield and to decrease the incidents of infection.
And this does not consider the toxic emotional load that farm animals bear, of poor treatment (farm animals are excluded from cruelty laws), lack of a natural life, separation of babies at birth, all of which have a detrimental effect on the end consumer.
Let’s look at some of the other problems.
Synthetic supplements
- Folic acid (very different from the natural folate found in food) can increase your risk of heart problems.
- Vitamin A (very different from the natural beta carotene found in food) can increase lung cancer in smokers, liver damage and hip fracture.
- Vitamin E (very different from the naturally occurring vitamin found in food) can increase the severity of fractures
- Vitamin D (very different from the action of sunlight on your skin) can lead to increased fractures.
- Some vitamin Bs (very different from those naturally found in food) can increase kidney problems and lung cancer.
Environmental toxins
Toxins tends to collect around fat deposits, which can make it difficult to lose weight when you don’t address the toxic load.
Toxins are increasing at an alarming rate as those with a profit motive strive to increase yields and in an unfounded attempt to clear up the issues we have created.
Yet a diet based on the whole food plant based diet increases de-toxification naturally.
Once you understand that your diet controls your health, you’ll become empowered and cease to be a puppet that allow those with a profit motive to play you. Fear is a powerful tool if you let it be, as can be seen so clearly by the events in 2020. Yet fear really has no power once you start to use logic.
Factors Other Than Food
Whilst diet alone is not the only answer to health problems, getting that right exponentially increases your chances.
Other important areas to consider are regular exercise and stress. The best regular exercise is not crazy cardio work-outs. It’s simply any exercise that increases your heart rate and breathing, such as walking, with some sweating, such as with an occasional burst of running or cycling.
The amount of stress anyone suffers with tends to be a reflection of the limits of themselves. So often this is set up in childhood, where parents try to mould the child into what they want them to be, rather than what the child wants to be. The child develops strategies to manage this, but they become entrenched habits that no longer serve them in adulthood.
To break these habits that so impact your life, professional homeopathic treatment is probably the most effective, the most far reaching and the most economical treatment there is. Good homeopathic treatment goes far beyond simply replacing drugs. It brings you back to who you are, who you were when you arrived here on Earth, allowing you to accomplish what you came to do.
Your diet controls your health. Your childhood also controls your health, but also your ambition, your stress and how you interact with others. Freeing yourself from past dramas can be highly invigorating, as life starts to take a turn for the better.
You are in the drivers seat of your life. You are the only one who can make the choices that improve your health, your lot in life, that empower you. Following the crowd tends to lead you away from finding yourself.
