Menopause symptoms can be different for every woman. Some woman suffer little, others have huge problems. In this article, the discussion is on the most typical symptoms and some options to reduce or eliminate them.

The obvious symptom that shows menopause has started is when your periods slow down, change or stop altogether. But some women will experience menopause symptoms at an age considered too early for menopause and some woman won’t experience any symptoms until well after the periods have stopped altogether.

The more common symptoms of menopause, to a lesser or greater degree include:

  • mood swings
  • irritability
  • fatigue
  • short term memory loss
  • hair loss
  • hot flushes/flashes
  • dry, wrinkled skin
  • palpitations
  • change in cholesterol
  • breasts become less firm
  • change in body shape – waist becomes thicker
  • bladder control issues
  • urination sensations or pain
  • dry vagina
  • bone density reduces

Many of these symptoms can be addressed by a change away from the typical western diet that is so damaging to health. But some are more challenging to resolve.

Out of the list, two are of particular importance, not only because they are so common, but because they cause great discomfort or pose greater health risks.

Bone density is a hugely important area to consider as if this is allowed to continue, your old age is likely to be rather fragile. Diet is as much to blame for this, along with some calcium medications, as is the menopause. Simply by changing your diet to one naturally rich in all the essential nutrients, not just calcium, is likely to be the answer to these problems. This topic is discussed in greater detail in my work on food and healthy eating.

Some medical supplements do the exact opposite of their claim. Some calcium supplements can further reduce your bone density.

You cannot take a synthetic supplement to improve your long term health. It is counter intuitive. Big changes in your diet are the best and most lasting ways to improved health.

By far the most uncomfortable of the menopause symptoms is the hot flushes/flashes. Suddenly, you are overcome with a raging heat. You HAVE to start throwing off clothing. At night time, you become too hot, wake up, throw the bedclothes off, go back to sleep, wake up too cold. It’s a nightmare, as much for your partner as it is for you.

In a hot climate, you want ridiculously cold air conditioning temperatures.

In my experience, these symptoms are much more common in women who have taken synthetic hormones – the pill, HRT, etc. Those women who have chosen other options, don’t suffer as much or as badly, if at all.

So what can you do? Homeopathic treatment has an excellent track record of not only alleviating the symptoms, but of banishing them altogether, often quickly.

Homeopathy doesn’t treat the label – menopause symptoms – it treats you who currently is suffering from this. It brings balance and harmony back into your body, so it can now heal itself. This means that you will also notice other improvements to your health and well being – such as improved energy, emotionally calm.

You don’t have to suffer, or to make your partner suffer.
