There are a couple of causes of dengue fever, both of which need to be in place for you to contract this rather painful and debilitating virus. We will explore these in a moment.

causes of dengue

Mostly it is contracted in areas around southeast Asia and China, India and some parts of Africa, South and Central America. Healthy locals will have a natural immunity, so it is probably only a problem for unhealthy locals and for foreign visitors.

Dengue fever is transmitted by a bite from an infected Aedes mosquito. Mosquitos become infected when they bite someone with the dengue virus.

The common symptoms of dengue fever are not unlike those of influenza and include:

  • fever
  • tremendous body aching, even unbearable pain, especially in the
  • bones of the limbs and back
  • bones can feel as if they are broken
  • headache
  • a great thirst especially for cold drinks
  • nausea and vomiting especially from motion
  • skin rash
  • mild bleeding and/or easy bruising

Virus’ don’t affect everyone. People can be bitten by infected mosquitos and not get the virus. So what makes one person more susceptible than another? After all, if you know that, you can take pro-active measures.

For you to succumb to any disease, whatever the causes, your immune system needs to be in sorry state. There is no medical test that can measure your immune system. Only you (and a switched on health practitioner) will have a vague notion of how healthy it is or isn’t.

So apart from being bitten by an affected mosquito, what are the other causes of dengue fever?

As already discussed, your immune system is the key to your health. However, it can be a bit difficult to access what condition it is in. The absence of diseases is a common indication of a good immunity, but this can also occur because your immunity is so poor, it doesn’t have the energy to show diseases.

That can sound rather odd, but if your health is poor, your energy will be very low, making it nearly, or completely, impossible to thrown out any invading pathogen. So the pathogen gains entry into your system, without a fight from your body. This means that the symptoms of disease are signs your body is putting up a fight – a healthy sign.

So how do you know if you have a really good immune system or not? One way is your life style. If you indulge in all the things that are likely to prevent good health, such as poor eating habits, not enough sleep, high stress levels, little exercise, smoking and drinking excessively, then you could consider your immunity to be so poor, your body can’t fight.

However, suppose you take care with your diet, by eating wholesome and natural foods, avoiding processed foods and animal proteins, by sleeping your optimum time, by exercising, by avoiding excessive stress (yes, that may mean changing jobs), by making sure you follow your heart, and so forth, what then? Even if you do succumb to the occasional bout of acute disease, you will have a far stronger immunity than the first person.

So you are in a better position to avoid serious diseases such as the dengue fever or to have only a mild, or non-fatal fever.

The is no specific medical treatment for dengue fever. But there is one system of medicine that can help. This system doesn’t treat disease. Instead it treats you and your poor immunity.

Good homeopathic treatment works by appreciating and considering your unique and individual expression of health, of disease, of life, of you. Once this is understood by the homeopath, the treatment falls into place. You can then recover quickly from whatever acute ailment you are currently affected by. Deeper restoration of health, such as with chronic affections, do take longer.

Good homeopathic treatment offers you deep health restoration, mostly not available from any other form of health care. You can let go of fear and embrace quality health!
